Saudi Arabia Warned Germany Three Times About Magdeburg Christmas Market Attacker Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen, Resulting in 5 Killed and 200 Injured
Dec 21, 2024, 12:51 PM
A Saudi source has reported to Reuters that Saudi Arabia had warned German authorities three times about the extremist views of Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen, the suspect behind the deadly attack at the Christmas market in Magdeburg. The warnings were issued after Al-Abdulmohsen posted threatening comments on his personal X account, which raised concerns about peace and security. Despite these alerts, German authorities reportedly ignored the warnings. The attack, which occurred at a crowded market, resulted in five fatalities and approximately 200 injuries. The prime minister of Saxony-Anhalt confirmed that the driver was of Saudi origin, and it has been indicated that a Saudi girl living in Germany had previously reported Al-Abdulmohsen to the police in September 2023, warning them of his intentions to harm individuals with his vehicle.
