Apple to Face Charges Under EU Digital Markets Act
Jun 14, 2024, 03:35 PM
Apple is set to become the first major technology company to face charges under the European Union's Digital Markets Act (DMA). The EU has determined that Apple's anti-steering rules for developers, which prevent them from directing users to offers outside of Apple's App Store without incurring fees, do not comply with the DMA. The charges, reported by the Financial Times, are expected to be filed in the coming weeks for violating the Digital Markets Act.
