Lucy Letby Found Guilty at Manchester Crown Court of Attempted Murder of Baby K
Jul 2, 2024, 02:18 PM
Lucy Letby, a former nurse from Hereford, has been found guilty at a retrial at Manchester Crown Court of the attempted murder of a premature baby girl at the Countess of Chester Hospital in February 2016. The verdict was delivered unanimously by the jury. Letby, previously convicted of killing seven babies and attempting to murder six others, was described as a 'cold-blooded, calculated killer' by the Senior Crown Prosecutor. The baby girl, referred to as Baby K, was just two hours old at the time of the attempted murder. The conviction adds to Letby's notoriety as the UK's most prolific child killer.
