UNC Fraternity Restores American Flag After SJP Vandalizes ROTC Building
Sep 19, 2024, 07:49 PM
A series of incidents at the University of North Carolina (UNC) have sparked significant controversy and reactions. Pro-Palestinian protestors, including members of the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), raised a Palestinian flag over the ROTC building and vandalized it with anti-American and anti-Israel graffiti. They also entered classrooms, writing messages such as 'Death to US' and 'Death to UNC.' In response, members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity restored the American flag and began cleaning up the damage. These fraternity members have been praised for their actions, with notable figures such as Rep. Virginia Foxx, Rep. Aaron Bean, and Rep. Tim Walberg meeting them to express their gratitude. The incidents have raised concerns about campus security and the response of law enforcement, as calls for arrests and stronger actions against the protestors have been made. Some have even suggested reversing forgiven student loans for those involved.
