China Retaliates with Visa Restrictions on U.S. Personnel Over Hong Kong Interference

China has announced visa restrictions on U.S. personnel in response to what it describes as interference in Hong Kong affairs. This decision comes after the U.S. imposed new visa restrictions on Hong Kong officials involved in implementing the national security law. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that the visa restrictions are in accordance with China's Foreign Relations Law and Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law. The move is seen as a retaliatory measure against the U.S. for its actions concerning Hong Kong's autonomy and the national security law.
