Israeli Navy Destroys Syrian Fleet at Latakia; Defense Minister Katz Warns Against Following Assad's Path

The Israeli Navy conducted a large-scale operation on Monday night, destroying the Syrian military fleet. Naval missile ships targeted and eliminated numerous Syrian navy vessels armed with sea-to-sea missiles at Minet el-Beida bay and the port of Latakia, ensuring advanced weaponry doesn't reach hostile forces. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the operation, stating, 'We destroyed the Syrian Navy yesterday.' He added that the operation was part of a broader campaign to eliminate strategic threats to Israel following the collapse of the Assad regime. Warning that 'whoever follows Assad's path will end up like Assad,' Katz emphasized Israel's commitment to preventing extremist groups from threatening its borders and citizens.
