In an interview with Lex Fridman, Zelensky stated that he looks forward to meeting Trump soon after his inauguration, possibly on January 25, to discuss ways to stop Russian President Vladimir Putin's aggression. He suggested it would be symbolic for Trump to be the first leader to fly into Ukraine by plane after the war ends. Zelensky emphasized that security guarantees from the United States are essential for any effective resolution to the conflict and that Ukraine is open to a ceasefire if it receives the necessary weapons to repel future attacks.
