Russian Ballistic Missile Strike on Kryvyi Rih Kills Four, Hits College and Homes

A Russian ballistic missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on January 17 killed at least four people and injured six others, according to regional Governor Serhii Lysak. The attack damaged the Professional College of the National Aviation University and nearby residential buildings. Among the dead are three women and a man, including Oksana, a music teacher and the wife of Ihor, who had previously lost his first wife during the occupation of Kherson in 2022. One of the deceased was identified as Oleksii, age 20. The wounded include a 22-year-old woman and men aged 34 and 56, who are in serious condition. Animals also perished in the attack. Rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities continue to assess the damage and search for survivors.
