London Police Probe Al Fayed Associates as 90 New Victims, Including Girl Aged 13, Come Forward
Nov 28, 2024, 12:41 AM
London's Metropolitan Police have launched a criminal investigation into more than five individuals suspected of assisting the late Mohamed Al Fayed in committing widespread sexual abuse over nearly four decades. The investigation is focusing on people who may have enabled or facilitated Al Fayed's sexual offenses against female staff at Harrods and elsewhere. At least 90 new victims have come forward following recent publicity, bringing the total number of allegations to over 400. The youngest victim is reported to have been 13 years old. Al Fayed died last year without ever being charged, prompting scrutiny of how police handled complaints stretching back decades.
