South Korea Detects Over 150 Balloons from North Korea, Some Bursting with Manure
May 29, 2024, 01:28 AM
South Korea has detected over 150 balloons sent from North Korea, many of which are filled with trash, sewage, and propaganda leaflets. The launch of these balloons is believed to be a response to anti-North Korea leaflets sent from South Korea in May. South Korean military forces have detected the balloons entering their airspace, with several landing near the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Some of the balloons have been found bursting with manure. Authorities have dispatched CRRT and EOD teams to handle the situation. Residents near the border have been warned to stay alert.
