University of Virginia to Pay $9 Million, State $6 Million in Settlement for 2022 Campus Shooting

The University of Virginia will pay $9 million in a settlement related to the 2022 campus shooting that killed three football players and wounded two students. The settlement was confirmed by a lawyer representing some of the victims and their families on Friday. Additionally, the state will contribute $6 million to the families of the three students who were killed.
