Judge Orders Pentagon to Release Trump Arlington Visit Records Amid Disparaging Military Remarks
Oct 22, 2024, 08:49 PM
A judge has ordered the Pentagon to release records related to former President Donald Trump's visit to Arlington National Cemetery by the end of the week. This development comes amid new allegations reported by The Atlantic, where Trump is accused of making disparaging remarks about the military. In a private Oval Office meeting, Trump offered financial help to the family of U.S. Army soldier Vanessa Guillén, who was murdered at Fort Hood in 2020, but later refused to pay the $60,000 funeral bill, allegedly making offensive comments about the cost. Trump's former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly confirmed that Trump used derogatory terms to describe soldiers, including calling them 'suckers and losers.' Despite these allegations, Guillén’s sister Marya has defended Trump’s treatment of her family, and Mark Meadows has denied the story.
