Xander Schauffele Wins 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla with Record-Setting 21-Under
May 19, 2024, 10:59 PM
American golfer Xander Schauffele, 30, won the 106th PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club, securing his first major title. Schauffele clinched the victory with a birdie putt on the 18th hole, finishing with a record-setting score of 21-under par, the lowest in major championship history. This win also marks the ninth consecutive American victory in the PGA Championship. Schauffele, previously the only player in the top five of the world golf rankings without a major win, earned $3.3 million for his triumph. He fended off Bryson DeChambeau in a thrilling finale to break his major hoodoo. Schauffele was listed at +1600 and +2000 odds to win the championship.
