Crypto Firms Pay $19B in 2024 Settlements, FTX and Alameda Lead with $12.7B, 78% Increase

In 2024, crypto companies have paid a total of $19 billion in settlements to US regulators, with FTX and Alameda Research leading the payouts. FTX and Alameda alone paid $12.7 billion to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in August. This year's settlements represent a 78% increase compared to 2023. The data was reported in an Oct. 9 report from CoinGecko.
