Jun 10, 2024, 04:02 PM
A massive fire erupted at the Temple Court Apartments, a four-story residential building in Miami, on Monday morning. The Miami Fire Rescue responded to the blaze, which started on the third floor of the building located at 431 NW 3rd Street. During the firefighting efforts, a man was found with gunshot wounds and is currently in critical condition. The fire, which prompted a three-alarm response, saw thick plumes of smoke and flames shooting through the windows. Nearly three dozen firefighting units were called to the scene, and two firefighters are in stable condition after sustaining injuries. The building, which mostly houses elderly and infirm residents, has led to multiple hospitalizations. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and the shooting incident. A family reunification center has been set up at José Martí Park at 351 SW 4th Ave along the Miami River.
