Stewart-Haas Racing to Cease Operations After 2024 NASCAR Season, Selling Four Charters
May 28, 2024, 08:33 PM
Stewart-Haas Racing, co-owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, will cease operations at the end of the 2024 NASCAR season. The decision, announced in an emotional meeting with employees, marks the end of a 15-year presence in the NASCAR Cup Series. In a joint statement, Stewart and Haas expressed that the decision was difficult and not made quickly, citing personal and business reasons for passing the torch. The team, known as one of the three four-car teams at the highest level of the sport, will be selling its four charters, with potential buyers including Front Row, 23XI, and Trackhouse.
