Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav to Incorporate Teachings of Lord Ram and Krishna in School Curriculum
Jun 22, 2024, 02:35 AM
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that the state government will incorporate the teachings of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna into the school and college curriculum. The initiative includes two projects, the Ram Path and the Shri Krishna Path, aimed at developing pilgrimage sites in the state. This move has sparked political debate, with opposition leaders like Congress's Digvijay Singh and Abbas Hafiz calling for the inclusion of teachings from other religions such as those of Guru Nanak, Jesus, and Prophet Muhammad. Critics argue that the curriculum should reflect the spirit of the Constitution by teaching about all religions to ensure comprehensive religious education for students. The announcement was made in Bhopal on June 21 and June 22.
