Oct 7, 2024, 05:53 AM
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, along with his sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, appeared at Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday in connection with the land-for-jobs money laundering case. The court granted bail to all three leaders upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 1 lakh each, with conditions including a prohibition on witness tampering and a requirement to seek court permission before traveling abroad. Accompanied by his daughter and RJD MP Misa Bharti, Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed confidence in the judiciary, stating, "I have faith in the judiciary and the high court." Tejashwi Yadav called the case a "political conspiracy" against them. Advocate Varun Jain, representing the Yadavs, confirmed the bail conditions. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 25.
