VisitYouTube to Integrate Veo AI Model for Shorts, 6-Second Clips Next Year
Sep 18, 2024, 02:48 PM
YouTube announced a series of new artificial intelligence (AI) tools at the Made On YouTube 2024 event. The main highlight is the integration of Google's AI video model, Veo, into YouTube Shorts. This integration will allow creators to generate 6-second standalone clips and create high-quality, custom backgrounds for their videos using Dream Screen. YouTube CEO Neal Mohan emphasized that these tools are designed to help creators express their creativity, build community, and drive long-lasting businesses. Additionally, YouTube is introducing AI-generated text-to-video capabilities and an AI thumbnail generator to assist creators in brainstorming ideas and enhancing their content. These updates, set to roll out next year, reflect YouTube's commitment to leveraging AI to empower creators and enhance user engagement on the platform, with 92% of creators already using AI tools.
