VisitYouTube Launches 'Communities' on Mobile in Beta to Boost Creator-Fan Interaction
Sep 18, 2024, 03:50 PM
YouTube has announced the launch of 'Communities', a new feature designed to enhance interaction between creators and their fans. This feature, introduced during the 'Made on YouTube' event, resembles a mix of old-school forums, subreddits, and Facebook groups, providing a Discord-like space for engagement. The Communities feature includes a Community Hub where creators can manage and moderate interactions. Currently, the feature is available on Mobile in beta. Additionally, YouTube introduced nine new tools aimed at helping creators maximize their platform use and connect more effectively with their audience. One notable tool is 'Jewels', a paid digital gift feature for vertical livestreamers, currently available only in the US. Another feature, 'Hype', allows users to promote videos from creators with under 500,000 subscribers if the video has been out for less than seven days.
