Yemeni Houthis Claim 14th US MQ-9 Reaper Drone Downed Over Marib, Valued at $32 Million

The Yemeni Armed Forces, specifically the Houthis, have claimed to have downed another American MQ-9 Reaper drone over Yemen. The incident reportedly occurred in the Marib region, where the drone was allegedly conducting hostile operations. The Yemeni forces, led by spokesperson Yahya Saree, stated that the drone was shot down using a domestically-manufactured surface-to-air missile. This event marks the 14th reported downing of an MQ-9 Reaper drone over Yemen, with each drone valued at approximately $32 million. Initial reports also mentioned a similar incident in Saada Governorate in northern Yemen, where the drone was valued at $30 million. The claim has not been confirmed by Washington as of the latest reports.
