Yassamin Ansari has won the Democratic nomination for Arizona's 3rd Congressional District after a recount confirmed her victory by a narrow margin of 39 votes over Raquel Terán. The recount was conducted following a close primary race where Ansari initially led by 42 votes. Ansari secured 19,087 votes, while Terán received 19,048 votes. Ansari, a former Phoenix City Council member and a crypto advocate, received significant financial backing from the cryptocurrency industry, which contributed approximately $1.4 million to her campaign. This victory positions Ansari to likely succeed Ruben Gallego, who is vacating his seat to run for Senate, in the solidly Democratic district. Ansari will face Republican Jeff Zink in the upcoming November election.
