Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees has hit his 50th home run of the 2024 season, marking the third time in his career he has reached this milestone. This achievement places him among a select group of MLB players, including Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and Alex Rodriguez, who have hit 50 or more home runs in three or more seasons. Judge's 50th home run, a 2-run 431 feet shot, came on August 25, 2024, in a game against the Colorado Rockies. He is the first player to reach 50 home runs this season. Despite Judge's accomplishments, the Yankees recently suffered a 9-2 loss to the Rockies, ending Judge's four-game home run streak. Previously, Judge had hit his MLB-leading 49th home run in a 3-0 victory over the Rockies.
