Jan 6, 2025, 07:20 AM
Xpeng Motors and Volkswagen Group China have signed a non-binding agreement to jointly develop one of the largest ultra-fast charging networks in China. The network will consist of over 20,000 charging piles across 420 cities, accessible to customers of both companies. The partnership aims to enhance the charging infrastructure in China and is part of a broader collaboration between the two firms, which includes plans to launch two Volkswagen-branded electric vehicle models by 2026. This collaboration follows Volkswagen's $700 million investment for a 4.99% stake in Xpeng in 2023.
