Aug 5, 2024, 09:36 PM
X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter and owned by Elon Musk, will close its flagship San Francisco office over the next few weeks. According to an internal email from CEO Linda Yaccarino, the company will relocate its staff to existing offices in San Jose and open a new engineering-focused office in Palo Alto, which will be shared with Musk's xAI. The decision, reported by the New York Times, marks the end of X's presence in San Francisco, where it was founded in 2006. The move is part of a broader transition to new primary locations in the Bay Area.
