VisitWorld's Oldest Man, John Tinniswood, Dies at 112 in Southport Care Home
Nov 26, 2024, 01:48 PM
John Alfred Tinniswood, the world's oldest man, died at the age of 112 in a Southport care home. Born in Liverpool in 1912, the same year the Titanic sank, Tinniswood became the oldest living man in April 2024 after the death of Venezuelan Juan Vicente Pérez, who was 114 years old. Tinniswood was a World War Two veteran, married to Blodwen in 1942, and a lifelong Liverpool FC fan. His death was announced by Guinness World Records, and his family stated that his last day was surrounded by music and love. Tinniswood attributed his longevity to luck, regular exercise, and a weekly portion of fish and chips.
