World Labs Launches to Advance Spatial Intelligence in AI with Large World Models

World Labs, a new AI company co-founded by notable figures including Dr. Fei-Fei Li, Jiajun Johnson, and Ben Mildenhall, has officially launched. The company aims to develop advanced spatial intelligence technologies. These technologies are expected to revolutionize various fields such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robotics, and design by enabling AI systems to perceive, generate, and interact with the 3D world. World Labs is working on Large World Models (LWMs) to achieve this goal. The founders have previously contributed to significant advancements in AI, including ImageNet, NeRF, and Style Transfer. World Labs emerged from stealth mode and is also considering the Computational Structure of spatial AI for embodied hardware.
