Woman Found Dead Inside 20-Foot Python in Kalempang, Indonesia

In a tragic incident in Kalempang, Indonesia, a 50-year-old woman named Farida was found dead inside the belly of a 20-foot python on June 6, 2024. Farida, a mother of four, went missing while in a nearby forest. Her husband reported her missing when she did not return home Thursday night. A search party formed by local men discovered a 20-foot python with a large belly, which led them to cut open the snake and find Farida's body inside. This marks at least the fifth person to be devoured by a python in Indonesia since 2017.
