The Golden State Warriors have agreed to acquire sharpshooter Buddy Hield from the Philadelphia 76ers via a sign-and-trade deal. The trade involves the Warriors sending a 2031 second-round pick to the 76ers. Hield, a prolific three-point shooter, has made 1,322 three-pointers in the last five seasons, leading the NBA in this category. He will join Stephen Curry, who has made 1,264 three-pointers in the same period, forming a new dynamic duo for the Warriors. The deal is guaranteed for two years and $21 million, with Hield earning $18 million in the first two years and a $3 million partial guarantee in the third year, along with a player option on a non-guaranteed fourth year. Hield's acquisition comes in the wake of Klay Thompson's departure and aims to bolster the Warriors' shooting capabilities. Since 2017, Curry has made 2,154 three-pointers, while Hield has made 1,924.
