VisitWalmart Recalls Over 12,000 Cartons of Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth in 9 States Due to Spoilage Risk

Walmart Inc. has initiated a recall of over 12,000 cartons of Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth due to packaging issues that could lead to spoilage. The recall, which was announced by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), affects products sold in 242 stores across nine states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. The recalled product is the 48-ounce Great Value Chicken Broth, with a 'best used by' date of March 25, 2026, and UPC code '007874206684'. The recall was initiated on December 11, but the notice was published on the FDA's website on January 8. A total of 2,023 cases, each containing six products, were recalled, amounting to 12,138 cartons of broth. Walmart has emphasized that the health and safety of its customers is a top priority and has taken action to remove all impacted products from the affected stores. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled product. Customers in possession of the recalled items are advised to discard them or request a full refund.
