VisitWaffle House to Raise Worker Pay to $5.25 per Hour by 2026 After Labor Protests
Jun 11, 2024, 08:52 PM
Waffle House has announced a plan to increase pay for its servers across the country over the next three years. This decision comes after labor protests and pressure from labor organizers. CEO Joe Rogers III stated that the base pay would rise to at least $3 per hour in June 2024 and then gradually increase to at least $5.25 per hour by June 2026. The base pay does not include workers' tips and will be higher in some states depending on minimum wage laws. In Georgia, for instance, workers can currently earn less than $3 per hour. The company is also expected to raise menu prices as part of this new compensation plan.
