Oct 30, 2024, 01:15 AM
Facing elimination in Game 4 of the World Series, the New York Yankees took a 5-2 lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers after hometown hero Anthony Volpe hit a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning. Volpe, who grew up a Yankees fan, redeemed himself after a base running error in the previous inning by delivering the team's first lead since the 10th inning of Game 1. The Yankee Stadium crowd erupted, and Volpe received a second roll call, acknowledging the fans with a cap tip.
