VisitVolley Secures $55M Series C Funding from Microsoft and Lightspeed for Voice-Powered AI Games
Jul 9, 2024, 03:34 PM
Bay Area startup Volley has successfully raised $55 million in a Series C funding round. The round was co-led by Microsoft's M12 Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, bringing Volley's total funding to over $75 million. Volley specializes in creating voice-powered AI games that are compatible with devices like Amazon Alexa, Fire TV, and Roku TV. The company, which has its roots in Y Combinator's Winter 2018 batch, aims to use the new funding to accelerate the development of new voice-controlled, AI-powered games. Volley's games have already been played in over 30 million homes, and the company believes that voice interaction is the easiest way to communicate, while games are the most fun way to learn about the world. Other investors in this round include BoostVC, General Catalyst, and Causeway.
