Virginia Woman Allegedly Posed as Nurse Without License at Multiple SoCal Hospitals, Cared for 60 Patients

A 44-year-old woman from Virginia, identified as Amanda Leeann Porter, has been arrested for allegedly impersonating a nurse and working without a license at multiple hospitals in Los Angeles County, including facilities in Burbank and Santa Clarita. Authorities believe Porter was fraudulently employed at least two Southern California hospitals, such as Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where she allegedly oversaw approximately 60 patients for an entire month. The Burbank Police Department announced Thursday that Porter posed as a registered nurse without proper credentials. Officials are investigating the extent of her employment and whether she worked at additional medical facilities throughout Southern California.
