    Max Verstappen secured pole position for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola with a time of 1:14.869. This marks his eighth consecutive pole position, equalling Ayrton Senna's record. Verstappen narrowly outpaced McLaren's Oscar Piastri, who was only 0.074 seconds behind, and Lando Norris, who qualified third. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz of Ferrari will start fourth and fifth, respectively. Mercedes' George Russell and Lewis Hamilton qualified sixth and eighth, while Red Bull's Sergio Perez will start from 11th after being knocked out in Q2. Nico Hülkenberg of Haas qualified ninth with a time of 1:15.980. Verstappen commented, "It's a nice memory to him." Piastri expressed confidence, saying, "I think the confidence is high that we can do something." Norris noted the "tiny, tiny margins" between the top qualifiers.
