US stocks opened higher on Wednesday morning following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 presidential election. The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 1,313 points, or 3.1%, to trade at 43,523 as of 9:30 am ET. The S&P 500 rose 1.9%, reaching 5,891. The Nasdaq also saw significant gains. Wall Street's main indexes soared to record highs as Trump made a remarkable comeback four years after being voted out of the White House. Trump is set to meet with Biden at the White House shortly after accepting the president’s offer. This historic comeback marks Trump as only the second president to return to the White House after a term out of office.
