VisitUS Raises Rewards to $25 Million for Maduro and Cabello, $15 Million for Padrino López
Jan 10, 2025, 03:42 PM
The United States has escalated its pressure on the Venezuelan regime by increasing the reward for the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro and other key figures. The reward for information leading to Maduro's arrest on narcotics charges has been raised to $25 million, the maximum allowed. Similarly, the reward for Diosdado Cabello, Venezuela's Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, has been increased to $25 million. A new reward of $15 million has been set for Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López. Alongside these measures, the U.S. has imposed sanctions on eight Venezuelan officials and announced new visa restrictions on individuals linked to the regime's institutions. These actions coincide with Maduro's inauguration for a new term, which the U.S. and its allies do not recognize as legitimate.
