The US private sector added 146,000 jobs in November, according to the ADP Employment Report, falling short of the forecasted 150,000 and the Dow Jones estimate of 163,000. This marks the smallest monthly gain since August 2024. The October figure was revised downward from 233,000 to 184,000. The data reflects a slowing labor market, with mixed industry performance. Manufacturing experienced a net loss of 26,000 jobs, while education and health services saw the largest gain, adding 50,000 jobs. Year-over-year pay gains for job-stayers edged up for the first time in 25 months.
