VisitUS NHTSA Investigates Amazon's Zoox After Sudden Braking Incidents

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated a preliminary investigation into Amazon's autonomous vehicle unit, Zoox, following two incidents where its vehicles unexpectedly braked and were subsequently rear-ended by motorcyclists. The probe will evaluate an estimated 500 Zoox vehicles, including Toyota Highlander robotaxis equipped with Zoox technology, to assess the safety concerns raised by these sudden braking incidents.
