London police carried out a controlled explosion outside the U.S. Embassy in Nine Elms, London, on Friday after a suspicious package was discovered. Met Police closed Ponton Road and cordoned off the area as a precaution while investigating the package. Armed officers and specialist teams were present at the scene.
