Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, leader of the pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has filed a lawsuit in a US federal court against the Indian government. The lawsuit, filed in the Southern District of New York, accuses the Indian government and top intelligence officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, former R&AW chief Samant Goel, R&AW agent Vikram Yadav, and businessman Nikhil Gupta, of plotting to assassinate him on US soil. Pannun, who holds US citizenship, claims the assassination attempts were unprecedented. The US court has issued summons to the Indian government and the named officials, requiring a response within 21 days. The Indian government has dismissed the allegations as "completely unwarranted" and "unsubstantiated."
