The University of Alabama is set to expand and renovate its men's basketball training facility at Coleman Coliseum. The new practice facility will cost $58.674 million, with $36.9 million funded through new bond financing and $21.7 million from university reserves and gifts. Athletic Director Greg Byrne announced that construction is expected to begin this fall. The upgraded facility will not address renovations to Coleman Coliseum itself. Instead, the former men's practice facility will be repurposed for the women's basketball team. Byrne emphasized that the new facility will be a significant enhancement for the basketball programs, highlighting that players spend the majority of their time in the practice facility rather than the main arena.
