United Rentals Inc. has announced its acquisition of H&E Equipment Services, Inc. for $92 per share in a cash deal valued at $4.8 billion, which includes $1.4 billion in net debt. This acquisition will enhance United Rentals' fleet by adding 64,000 units and expanding its operational footprint across more than 30 states. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. The purchase price represents a premium of over 100% compared to H&E's recent closing price of $43.94 per share.
