The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that an Israeli Merkava tank fired on their peacekeeping site near Kafer Kela in southern Lebanon. The incident resulted in the destruction of two cameras and damage to a watchtower. UNIFIL described the attack as deliberate, marking another instance of direct fire on their positions. The UN has also claimed that Israeli tanks forcibly entered its peacekeeping site, destroying a gate and harming 15 people. West Jerusalem has called for humanitarian workers to leave the country, accusing Hezbollah of using them as human shields.
