The incident resulted in the destruction of two cameras and damage to a watchtower. UNIFIL described the attack as deliberate, marking another instance of direct fire on their positions. The UN has also claimed that Israeli tanks forcibly entered its peacekeeping site, destroying a gate and harming 15 people. West Jerusalem has called for humanitarian workers to leave the country, accusing Hezbollah of using them as human shields.
