The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched 'Crypto 2.0,' a new task force dedicated to developing a comprehensive and clear regulatory framework for crypto assets. Announced by Acting SEC Chairman Mark T. Uyeda, the task force will be led by Commissioner Hester Peirce, often referred to as 'Crypto Mom' for her crypto-friendly stance and advocacy for clear regulatory frameworks in the digital asset space. Established under President Trump's administration, the initiative aims to establish clear regulatory guidelines, provide realistic paths to registration, reduce reliance on enforcement actions, and collaborate with Commission staff and the public. The task force will be composed of talented staff across the agency.
