VisitUndefeated Chiefs Acquire Patriots' Josh Uche to Bolster Pass Rush
Oct 28, 2024, 04:58 PM
The Kansas City Chiefs have acquired pass rusher Josh Uche from the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick. Uche, a second-round pick by the Patriots in 2020 out of Michigan, was inactive in the Patriots' recent win over the New York Jets amid trade rumors. He has recorded 20.5 sacks over his career, including two this season. Uche had re-signed with the Patriots on a one-year, $3 million deal, turning down a two-year, $15 million offer in free agency. The Chiefs, currently undefeated with a 7-0 record, bolster their defensive lineup with Uche, adding depth to a pass rush that includes Chris Jones and George Karlaftis as they aim for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title.
