VisitUN Inquiry: Israel's Actions in Gaza's Healthcare System Amount to War Crimes, Extermination
Oct 11, 2024, 08:13 AM
A United Nations inquiry has found that Israel has carried out a concerted policy of destroying Gaza's healthcare system during the ongoing Gaza war, actions amounting to war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that missions to evacuate critical patients from Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals in northern Gaza have been repeatedly impeded amid evacuation orders. UN-backed experts and various reports highlight that Israel's actions have led to a catastrophic situation in Gaza's hospitals, with severe shortages of fuel, medical supplies, and essential services. The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that they have run out of fuel in northern Gaza, halting rescue operations. Both sides have also tortured people, according to UN-backed experts. Israel has rejected the UN probe findings, branding them as 'outrageous'.
