Ukrainian truck drivers have staged a protest on the Kyiv-Odesa highway, blocking the road with hundreds of trucks. The protest, which began on May 18, is in response to a new law on mobilization, which requires truckers to obtain military approval for international routes and allows for their mobilization at the border when leaving Ukraine. The demonstration has caused significant traffic disruptions. According to National Police spokeswoman Olena Berezhna, the protest was organized by international truck drivers.
