VisitUkrainian MiG-29 Jets Strike Kursk Bridges, Gain 5 Square Kilometers
Aug 31, 2024, 02:29 AM
Ukrainian forces have launched a series of airstrikes targeting bridge crossings in Russia's Kursk region. The operations involved Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets, from the 204th Sevastopol Tactical Aviation Brigade, deploying American-made GBU-62 JDAM-ER glide bombs. A video released by the Ukrainian Air Force shows the Soviet-era aircraft striking bridges over the Seym River near the settlements of Zvannoye and Glushkovo. The strikes are part of a broader effort by Ukraine to disrupt Russian logistics routes in the area. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reportedly gained an additional 5 square kilometers in the Kursk region, according to the Commander-in-Chief.
