VisitUkrainian Forces Use HIMARS to Target Seim River Bridges in Kursk Offensive
Aug 16, 2024, 02:04 PM
Ukrainian forces have intensified their offensive in the Glushkovo district of the Kursk region, targeting key infrastructure to isolate the area. The Armed Forces of Ukraine reportedly used GMLRS M30A1 227 mm Guided Rockets and HIMARS to strike bridges over the Seim River. These attacks have resulted in significant damage, with reports indicating that the main bridge in Glushkovo has been severely damaged, preventing the passage of heavy-duty trucks. The offensive aims to cut off the Glushkovo district from reinforcements as Ukrainian forces advance from the east. Russian sources confirm that the bridges are under fire control, with some already destroyed. Roman Alekhin stated on August 16 that the bridge has just been destroyed as part of the Ukrainian Liberation Forces' plan.
